How do I make a WhatsApp link for my number?
Use https://wa.me/ followed by the number in full international form — country code, no plus sign, no zeros, no spaces. For an Indian mobile that is wa.me/919876543210. Add ?text= followed by a URL-encoded message to pre-fill the chat.
Why does my WhatsApp link say the number is invalid?
Almost always the leading zero or a missing country code. The number that works when you dial it locally is not the number wa.me wants: drop the zero and put the country code in front.
Can the person change the pre-filled message?
Yes. It is only a draft in their chat box — they can edit it or delete it before sending. Never put anything in it that you need to arrive unaltered, such as an order number you plan to rely on.
Do I need WhatsApp Business for this?
